I seem to be having a problem uploading pictures to my blog. I keep clicking the icon that says "add images" and nothing happens. So frustrating! So this post will have to be pictureless which is a big bummer because there were a lot of great pictures taken.
My family came to visit me for a week and we had a lot of fun. We started off in Kansas City, Mo where we went to Worlds of Fun, an amusement park. It was a great way to start up the vacation because it made everyone happy. Payton and Tyler were entertained. Mom and Dad enjoyed taking the boys on all their rides and Carson and I were able to ride some fun things as well. It was a also my birthday that day and it was great to be able to spend it with my family.
The next day we headed out to do some church history stuff in the area. We went to Liberty Jail, Far West, Adam- ondi- omen, and Independence. I had visited these places a few years ago but it was so special to go back with my family and share in those sacred places together. It was definitely a testimony building experience that day.
I didn't want my siblings to have a chance to say they were bored so I planned few other day trips to keep them entertained. There were a couple glitches to plan however. A few things did get rained out like our hike to Devils Den state park. We did make to Eureka Springs, War Eagle Mill, and played some volleyball. And I couldn't let them miss out on some Arkansas cuisine at the "Backwoods Barn." Here is where the pictures would be nice so you could see what these places look like.
It was great to have my family come and visit. There was a a lot of quality time and I was having a hard time trying to figure out how I was going to keep my boys entertained when they left. Luckily Payton was able to stay for another week and we had good sister bonding. I can't wait for Christmas when we visit them next. I couldn't have asked for a better week. Memories were made and relationships strengthened.
